MITSUBISHI TURBINE AND GENERATOR SERVICE
Mitsubishi has made major investments since 2000, with the objective to become the Preferred Supplier of gas and steam turbines, generators and their service in North America
In the past, Mitsubishi provided many steam turbines, gas turbines and generators for use in North America, but had a limited amount of direct service presence to support those plants. Parts and technical advisors were provided as-needed from Japan, and other companies were usually arranged to coordinate the service work.
As Mitsubishi's historical associations with US power plant equipment suppliers declined in the late 1990's, Mitsubishi management decided to make major investments to establish direct Mitsubishi service resources in North America to achieve their goal of becoming the Preferred Supplier.
A new company, Mitsubishi Power Systems, Inc., was formed and staffed with a strong mix of service-focused professionals - some were transferred from Japan, but most are experienced power plant engineers hired in North America and qualified by Mitsubishi. Today, we have a local presence and an organization that’s as attuned to the Americas markets as the products we deliver. We live here. We speak the same languages. We work in the same time zones. And, we’re not just here, now – we’re here for the long haul.

In 2002 we dedicated our Orlando Service Center, probably the most modern and well-equipped facility of its' kind in the Western Hemisphere. We have supplemented it with a Field Service organization that is staffed by real hands-on service engineers, technicians and mechanics who have been working in North American power plants for their entire careers.

Also in 2002 we encouraged our North American steam turbine Users to form an organization dedicated to helping them maximize the performance of their Mitsubishi-designed plants - and to become our primary advisors on what Mitsubishi needed to do to provide the best products and service. These Users give Mitsubishi management a "report-card" every six months. As a result, much of what we have accomplished, and will accomplish in the future, is directly driven and measured by our Users.
